Thomson Reuters Brand Identity

Overview Thomson Reuters faced a fragmented product ecosystem and a brand identity stuck in the past. A new CEO urgently sought to shift perceptions of the brand from a content company to a technology company. I led the design team on a mission to simplify, unify, and reimagine the company as an AI and technology leader.

Washington Commanders Brand Identity

Overview When the 89 year-old NFL franchise in Washington, D.C. finally decided to retire its controversial Redskins name, it called on Code and Theory to create both the provisional Washington Football Team brand and the permanent Commanders brand. I lead the creation of the visual brand identity system of the latter and designed the primary, secondary and tertiary brand marks. I also created a custom display typeface called Loud Sans with Dan Rhatigan.

Product Design

Overview We integrated digital and physical product design to transform the black hole on your wall into a work of art. TV when it’s on. Art when it’s off. Working closely with Yves Béhar, I designed the on-screen Art Mode UI, the app that controls the device, and partnered with curator Elise Van Middelem to help define the initial Samsung Collection of 100 works of art. I was also named on the patent. It was the first single-year million-unit-seller in the lifestyle TV lineup and remains a significant contributor to Samsung’s global dominance in the premium TV category.
Footage seen here was produced by Samsung to demonstrate the product’s Art Mode features.

Bare Necessities Brand Identity & Website

Overview

Bare Necessities, an online intimates retailer with an established history of inclusivity, found itself at a crossroads. They needed to retain their core older audience, while building relationships with a younger one. Our task was to develop a new brand identity that expressed their unique DNA through a lens that would connect with both of their growth audiences, and then redesign the web experience, optimizing for key business metrics and applying the new branding.
