Washington Commanders
Brand Identity
Overview
When the 89 year-old NFL franchise in Washington, D.C. finally decided to retire its controversial Redskins name, it called on Code and Theory to create both the provisional Washington Football Team brand and the permanent Commanders brand. I lead the creation of the visual brand identity system of the latter and designed the primary, secondary and tertiary brand marks. I also created a custom display typeface called Loud Sans with Dan Rhatigan.

Samsung The Frame
Product Design
Overview
We integrated digital and physical product design to transform the black hole on your wall into a work of art. TV when it’s on. Art when it’s off. Working closely with Yves Béhar, I designed the on-screen Art Mode UI, the app that controls the device, and partnered with curator Elise Van Middelem to help define the initial Samsung Collection of 100 works of art. I was also named on the patent. It was the first single-year million-unit-seller in the lifestyle TV lineup and remains a significant contributor to Samsung’s global dominance in the premium TV category.
Footage seen here was produced by Samsung to demonstrate the product’s Art Mode features.

Brand Identity Proposal
Overview
The third largest advertising platform on the planet invited Code and Theory to imagine the future of its brand identity.
The only speculative work in my portfolio, it serves as a testament to how much an excellent team can achieve under an impossible timeline.
